'God Help The Girl': An Exclusive Scene From Your New Favorite Indie Musical

Your first look at a musical from the minds of Belle and Sebastian.

Do you love charming indie music, happiness, and Scottish people? Then you're going to love this exclusive scene from "God Help the Girl," a dreamy movie musical that will soon prove to be your latest obsession:

Oh yeah, we'll be seeing this.

"Girl," which follows Emily Browning's ("The Uninvited") character Eve as she uses music to help her sort out some emotional problems, was written and directed by Stuart Murdoch, the lead singer of the Scottish indie-pop band Belle and Sebastian. It was produced by Barry Mendel ("Rushmore"/"Bridesmaids") and also stars Olly Alexander ("Skins") and Hannah Murray (Gilly from "Game of Thrones") as Eve's friends-slash-band mates.

"It's a simple story -- about the brief moment after you've realized what you want to do with your life, before your dream settles into becoming your job, when you’re filled with enthusiasm, meeting like-minded friends and the possibilities are endless," Mendel explained in a release.

"God Help the Girl" hits U.S. theaters on September 5, and U.K. theaters this Saturday, August 16. Check out the trailer below if you need further convincing.
