Jeezy Urges Ferguson Residents To Seek 'Justice Not Chaos' After Michael Brown Shooting

The Snowman goes to St. Louis.

Jeezy has a message for the residents of Ferguson, Missouri: stop tearing down your neighborhood.

The Snowman performed in St. Louis yesterday as a part of his and Wiz Khalifa's Under the Influence of Music Tour. While on stage the trap rap pioneer wore a black tee that read, "R.I.P. Michael Brown."

Brown, 18, was shot and killed on Saturday by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Police say that the African-American teen attacked the officer in his car and tried to take his gun. Witnesses, however, tell a drastically different story, saying that Brown was unarmed and had his hands in the air when he was shot multiple times, according to CNN.

The people of Ferguson, have taken to the streets in protest in the days since the shooting. There has been rioting and looting as well.

"I had to see it for myself!! The answer is not tearing down our own neighborhoods and communities, the answer is goin to the source of the problem in numbers. So many numbers that they know they don't have a chance," Jeezy wrote on Wednesday morning (August 13) under an Instagram photo that he took at a Ferguson, QuikTrip gas station and convenience store, which was looted and burned to the ground.

"We want justice not chaos!! #ferguson #st.louis #saveourchildren #justiceformichaelbrown," he continued.
