The “Star Wars: Force for Change” campaign was a genius idea from its inception. It was a way for people to vie for a walk-on role in “Star Wars: Episode VII” while simultaneously raising money for the United Nations Children’s Fund. The more money you donated, the better your chance at winning.
Well, the contest is over, and the campaign raised over $5 million for UNICEF. J.J. Abrams sent out this teasing photo from the Bad Robot Twitter account as a “thank you” to fans who contributed.

I do have some bad news though: you didn’t win. This guy did.
D.C. Barns from Denver, Colorado (henceforth known as the luckiest “Star Wars” fan ever) will travel to London to appear in “Star Wars: Episode VII.” I’d be madder at the guy if he didn’t win by donating to charity or seem like one of the biggest “Star Wars” fans ever.
Still, though. Super jealous.
“Star Wars: Episode VII” opens in theaters on December 18, 2015.
