Lil Wayne might be the only dude in the asylum with Air Jordan Concords on his feet. But he can do that.
What he can't do in his new video for "Krazy," though, is stay sane. Instead, Tunechi goes a little out of his mind, seeing alternate versions of himself, getting dragged by guards in a straight jacket, and wearing some sort of pajama looking get-up.
Just last month, Tunechi took us behind-the-scenes on the set of the shoot for his Tha Carter V single, explaining the concept for the video. “I’m not talking about being crazy in the song, I’m just talking about being me, and a lot of people view that as crazy so we just wanted to capture that and have fun with it,” he said.
Colin Tilley, who directed, also dished on the idea behind the visuals. “We talked about putting Lil Wayne in a psych ward and I definitely took some inspiration from 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,' just as far as the look and feel for it,” he told MTV News. “It’s more of the psychological trip that Lil Wayne’s going through in this place.”
