In the bonus scene below, the mother of three confides in her cousin Chastity and rehashes the fight.
“Jeremy was like, ’You don’t need a washer-dryer,'” she says. “[And] I really don’t need a washer-dryer, but both him and I agreed that we wanted one that was a front-loader. Well, all of a sudden, he made it look like he didn’t want one. That it was just me — that it was just a waste of money.”
“I’m not perfect — I make mistakes. I have an issue with spending money,” Leah continues. “[But] I’ll do anything I can. And I’ve tried to go to counseling with him.”
The couple didn’t get a chance to sit down and resolve their conflict: Jeremy had to leave town for his job. And that, Leah felt, presented another issue.
“Like, I appreciate him working out of town,” she says. “But just like tonight, it’s an escape route for him — like, ’Well, if I don’t want to be here, I can just leave.'”
