'Theory Of Everything' Trailer Has The Formula For Making You Weep

Us + This = Sniff.

Watch out, because science is about to make you cry.

Thinking of physicist Stephen Hawking usually doesn't bring a tear to your eye and a whimsical smile to your face, but that was your life yesterday. This is your life today, and it's the first day of the rest of your life. That's because today marked the debut of the first trailer for "The Theory of Everything," a new biopic about Hawking.

We meet Hawking, played by "Les Miserables" standout Eddie Redmayne, as a young student fascinated with the mysteries of time, space, and one lovely young lady named Jane (Felicity Jones). What begins as a lovely tale of book learning and courtship hits a skid when Hawking is struck by a motor neuron disease and given a two-year life expectancy. What happens next, only Wikipedia -- and the famed scientist's continuing multi-decade career -- can tell us.

"The Theory of Everything" hits theaters November 7.
