When you think of Cristiano Ronaldo, the first image that pops into your head is a soccer-playing stud with an annoyingly unbeatable knack for making women go loco, right? Well, prepare to have that image tarnished forever, because after watching this video, you’ll never be able to look at him the same way again.
For some unimaginable reason, Ronaldo is the new face of a Japanese product called a Facial Fitness Pao, a.k.a., a shake weight for your mouth. Users bite down on something resembling a mouthguard with wispy, weighted wings, and then furiously nod their head up and down. It’s supposed to strengthen your cheeks and exercise your facial muscles so that you score a smile like Ronaldo’s, but mostly it just makes you look like an idiot.
To Ronaldo’s credit, he at least manages to be the only one in the video who’s smart enough not to put the contraption in his mouth. And judging by this hilarious GIF of someone demonstrating the product in front of him on a Japanese TV show, he seems to realize the whole endorsement was a colossal mistake. That face has “holy $#%! I should’ve stuck to Armani” written all over it.
