Check his style on 'Big Dusty.'

The wait may finally be coming to an end. Not immediately, but soon, at least.

We’re talking about the wait for the release of B4.Da.$$, the debut album from Joey Bada$$. And we can’t help but be optimistic — over a year before he first announced plans to drop the project — after hearing “Big Dusty.” The Kirk Knight-produced track, released on Monday (August 4), is the first single from the Brooklyn native’s upcoming debut album.

“Check my style, check, check, check it out,” Joey chants on the chorus, before jumping into two lengthy verses that showcase his raw-yet-increasingly-seasoned talent. And he doesn’t compromise the bars or the content here, something he states plainly in the first verse: “Truth is, if it ain’t real, I don’t feel it/ If it don’t hit my spirit, I don’t get near it.”

There’s still no release date for the album, which will be released by Cinematic Music Group and distributed by RED Distribution, but hopefully it’ll be out before the end of the year.
