Miley Cyrus, Tegan And Sara And MGMT — See The Flaming Lips’ Star-Studded Beatles Tribute Track List

Check out all these heady fwends.

The Flaming Lips are getting more than a little help from their fwends on their upcoming Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band tribute album. Not only is partner-in-weirdness Miley Cyrus featured on two tracks, a ton of other musicians have joined their merry band of Beatles-slinging freaks — as evidenced by a track list released by lips frontman Wayne Coyne via Instagram.

We already knew that the Lips and Cyrus were working on a cover of tripped-out classic “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” as well as “A Day In The Life,” but now we know who else will be taking on the Beatles with Wayne and Co. on With A Little Help From My Fwends.

A sampling? My Morning Jacket, Dinosaur Jr. frontman J. Mascis, Phantogram, Tegan And Sara, Grace Potter, MGMT and Foxygen. Moby also appears on “Lucy” with the Lips and Miley, the perfect follow-up to his starring role in that weird mini-movie the assemblage made, “Blonde SuperFreak Steals the Magic Brain.”

The record is out October 28 — right in time, likely not coincidentally, for any and all far-out Halloween bashes.
