Remy Ma Put Out A New Song And Is Calling For An All Girl 'Ill Chick Record'

Remy wants to work with Nicki, Iggy and even Azealia Banks now that she has a second chance.

Remy Ma was released from prison Friday (August 1) and she is back with a vengeance. After spending six years locked up on assault charges, Remy has already unleashed her first song: "They Don't Love You No More (Remix)." It's a take on the DJ Khaled track that originally featured Jay Z and Meek Mill.

The song features a warning for Remy biters. "I listened to your CD/ Damn, you really wanna be me/ Don't care if your name buzzin’, you know who the queen be," Remy raps on the track.

Could she be talking about Nicki Minaj when she mentions that she's the queen? After all, Nicki recently crowned herself "The Queen of Rap" on Beyonce's "Flawless (Remix)." So, is it a diss? Not at all, Remy says.

In an interview with Funkmaster Flex, the Bronx, New York MC specifically gave love to a lot of other women who are in the rap game today, including Nicki and even Iggy Azalea.

"It'd be dope if we could get a ill chick record," Remy says. "Me, maybe Iggy, Iggy Azalea, Nicki, just do a nice little collabo."

Remy added that other MCs could also join the track, including Azealia Banks. If anyone has seen the sexism in hip-hop firsthand, it's definitely Remy.

"What I think happens with females in this game, they tend to allow other people to pit us against each other," Remy adds. "They make it seem like there can only be one female. It can be a thousand guys that's putting out music and rapping and doing what they do, but when it comes to females in this hip-hop business, they make it seem like it can only be one," she said.

"If there's more than one then 'alright, it can be two, but ya'll better be at each other's throats every chance that you get,'" she continued. "I just feel like it got really crazy, to the point where I wouldn't tolerate it... I don't have to go at somebody else for Rem to be heard."

While DJ Khaled and Remy have already worked on music together, Remy says this initial song isn't an indication of her signing with his We The Best Music Group.

"I didn't sign with anyone yet," she said. "I don't know where I want to sign. I just know I have so many great songs that I think the world needs to hear. I'm excited. I'm extremely happy. I'm blessed. God gave me another chance to do what I love to do."

We're happy she's back, too. Keep watching her Instagram for updates, we have a feeling there's going to be quite a few.
