Movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are known for their Easter eggs, in-jokes and cameos, and the studio's latest offering, "Guardians of the Galaxy," is no exception.
MTV News caught up with James Gunn, who wrote and directed the movie, to get the scoop on any familiar faces -- or voices -- we might catch in deep space. It should come as no surprise that there are several of them.
You'll have to watch the interview clip above to find out exactly who, but we will spoil one for you: Captain Hammer himself, Nathan Fillion.
"He's a monstrous inmate," Gunn said. "He's the CGI creature who tries to, shall we say, give some tender loving to Peter Quill and then is ripped apart by Groot."
Tsk, tsk, Nathan.
The museum curated by Benicio Del Toro's flamboyant Collector is not only a treasure trove of oddities, but also of winks to the audience, according to Gunn.
"We've got everything in that museum. The entire history of the Marvel Universe is in the Collector's Museum," he said.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" is in theaters now.
