Nicki Minaj's New Cartoon Character Is A Huge Purple Wrecking Machine

This makes her 'Monster' verse seem relevant again.

We love Nicki Minaj because her flow’s animated, but now the YMCMB rapper is also getting animated for Cartoon Network.

She'll be joining the channel's "Steven Universe" as Sugilite, a pretty cool fusion of two of the show's characters, Garnet and Amethyst.

And no, of course Nicki doesn’t appear on the show in a g-string like on her “Anaconda” cover art. Instead, Sugilite is a huge, purple wrecking machine, which is obviously perfect for an MC who once helped define Kanye West’s "Monster."

But if you're still craving that "Anaconda" image, you can already get it on tons of merch—even a shower curtain.

This definitely isn't the first time Nicki has gone cartoon crazy though. Remember when she linked up with Beavis and and Butthead in 2011? Then there was that time that she voiced the mammoth Steffie in "Ice Age: Continental Drift."

The episode of "Steven Universe" that Minaj will guest star in is called “Coach Steven," and it will air on Thursday, August 21. Watch a brief clip of the show here.
