Watch Weezer Go 'Back To The Shack'

'This is what I was meant to do and you can't put that on sale.' Right?

Weezer have said their upcoming ninth studio album is a return to their classic sound after a few attempts at going more mainstream with the help of professional songwriters like Dr. Luke and Jermaine Dupri. No kidding, dude.

How do we know this for sure now? Because we watched Rivers Cuomo and the boys play "Back to the Shack" on "The Tonight Show" on Wednesday night and the apologia to the fans they abandoned has exactly the kind of crunch and kick we've come to love from the band. We are so psyched now for Everything Will Be Alright In The End it's not even funny.
