Beastie Boy Ad-Rock Joining Ben Stiller In New Movie

Ch-check it out, LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy is scoring 'While We're Young.'

He’s fought for his right to party, engaged in rhyming and stealing and put his root down. So, of course Beastie Boys member Ad-Rock (Adam Horovitz) is going to appear alongside Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts in the upcoming feature from Noah Baumbach “While We’re Young,” according to Spin.

Horovitz, who has taken on the odd acting gig over the years (“Lost Angels,” “A Kiss Before Dying,” “Roadside Prophets,” “30 Rock”) will appear in the film that chronicles “a middle-aged couple whose career and marriage are over-turned when a disarming young couple enters their live.” The movie’s score is being composed by former LCD SoundSystem founder James Murphy, who also did the music for Baumbach’s 2010 movie “Greenberg.”

“Young,” which also features Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried, will make its debut at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival.

There aren’t any pictures of Ad-Rock in the movie yet, but here are a few snaps from set.
