Britney Spears Launches 16th Fragrance: Fantasy Stage Edition
Britney Spears is the perfumer that keeps on giving, y'all. In January, she released a "naughty and nice" remix collection of her Fantasy scent, and now she's gifting us once again with another update: Fantasy Stage Edition. If you haven't been keeping up, this is now Britney's 16th (!!!) perfume since Curious launched in 2004. (Just saying, if Ms. Spears ever wanted to quit music, she could have a very successful career opening up a scent lab.)
Beyond the scent, Britney really nailed it with this packaging as she's a total pro by now. It's always a wise move to reference one of your most iconic moments—in Britney's case, her performance of "I'm a Slave 4 U" at the 2001 VMAs. The perfume bottle wrapping is a nod to the snake Britney had around her as she performed that song—a vision that's still as fresh in my mind today as it was 13 years ago.
As you can tell from the python packaging, Britney went the exotic route with Fantasy Stage Edition. It has hints of her favorite white florals; fruits such as red lychee, golden quince, and kiwi; jasmine petals; white chocolate orchid; orris root; and musk. In a press release, Britney said, "Fantasy Stage Edition represents my daring moments on stage, both past and present. I hope it motivates my fans to be fearless." I'm not sure if any scent could give me the courage to dance around with a yellow python around me, let alone on live national TV, but if I had on Fantasy Stage Edition I'd be willing to try.
