One of the most consistently effective horror tropes involves taking everyday items we can find in our homes and making them terrifying. "The Ring," for example, turned a television set into a portal to another universe solely populated by a murderous wet child. Basements and dolls have always been a little bit creepy, but "Evil Dead" and "The Conjuring" certainly didn't help.
And now we have "Ouija," which takes an everyday spirit board used to communicate with the dead and turns it into... well, an everyday spirit board used to communicate with the dead, but this time, the dead are super duper evil. Check out the trailer below:
