Lana Del Rey’s New Rolling Stone Cover? Purrfect

Check out the stunning magazine cover right meow.

Just in case there was any confusion, Lana Del Rey is “The Saddest, Baddest Diva in Rock.” Thus proclaims the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone, shot by photographer Theo Wenner, which depicts the “Shades Of Cool” singer snuggling up to a kitty cat in bed.

Even lying down, the 28-year-old singer’s hair is somehow still teased up to a Priscilla Presley-level bouffant because what even is gravity.

Although the magazine won’t hit stands until Friday, July 18, Rolling Stone has teased a few key bits of the issue’s cover story by senior writer Brian Hiatt online, which touches on everything from Lana’s recent “I wish I were dead” comments to that infamous “Saturday Night Live” performance in 2012.

Del Rey even tries to cancel the feature at one point, worrying: “I’m not sure if they should run this story… I feel like maybe we should wait until there’s something good to talk about. You know? I just wish you could write about something else. There has to be someone else to be the cover story. Like, there has to be. Anybody.”

This stunning visual marks Lana’s first Rolling Stone cover — at least in the United States. She graced the front of Rolling Stone México back in January 2013.

It is presumably not her first time touching a cat.

Bad at filling out bios seeks same.
