If you're not already familiar with Kilo Kish, you should get to know her. The fast-rising NYC artist is making some of the most interesting new music around right now, weaving together elements of R&B and spoken-word poetry that's best labeled as post-rap. Plus, she's already worked with A$AP Ferg, Childish Gambino, and Earl Sweatshirt.
But another reason Kilo Kish has all of our attention is that the art school grad and former FIT student is already making waves in the fashion world as a model. Kilo is the new star of Maison Kitsune’s Fall/Winter 2014 look book and, by the looks of it, it seems modeling comes just as easily to her as music.
Kilo is serving up #TBT realness while modeling the '60s Brit-rock-inspired collection dubbed "London Beats." Of course, having a co-star who actually fronts a British rock band, Citizens’ Tom Burke, can't hurt when trying to get into character.
Two of the standout looks include a green and gold plaid dress and a floral blue skirt with a white angora sweater. LBR: I'm not looking forward to fall, but let's just say I'm not totally dreading it now either.
Maison Kitsune's last look-book star was Sky Ferreira, so you know the brand has a good eye for working with emerging artists. Unlike Ferreira, though, who only modeled for the brand, Kilo will also be designing a travel-themed capsule collection slated to drop in September. I'm blocking off the entire month in my calendar right now.
