It's Official: Blink-182 Have Another Album In The Works

Guitarist Tom DeLonge confirmed the news with a goofy throwback photo.

Because the pop-punk gods have willed it, new details have emerged regarding blink-182's long-awaited seventh studio album. Take off your pants, and rejoice.

On July 14, guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge posted a teenage throwback photo of all three band members on his personal Instagram account. In the caption, he confirmed the existence of the previously hinted-at LP: "Rehearsals start today... And yes there will be a new album #SorryForTheWait #Blink"

Mmmmmmm, I can smell the JNCO denim and L.A. Looks styling gel from here.

Last September, DeLonge and blink-182's bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus chatted with MTV News about the followup to 2011's Neighborhoods . "Once we start, it moves," the "I Miss You" singer said of recording an album. "It's like painting, you know? You've just got to start with that first brushstroke, and get your clothes off, and get the other person's clothes off, get a little bit of feces, smear it around. Just get going."

Remind me never to buy an original painting by Tom DeLonge.
