Ed Sheeran Wrote A Book: See The Predictably Adorable Cover

Want want want.

Sheerios, reading is about to get way fun-damental. Ed Sheeran is coming out with his very first book — and it’s an autobiography. And you thought that Bildungsroman of a song “Take It Back” was telling.

Sheeran broke the news of his entrance into the literary world on Wednesday (July 2) via Instagram with a photo of the (adorable) cover and the caption: “My first book, with Phillip Butah, A Visual Journey is out 9th of October. Very exciting.” The book is actually out in the U.S. on November 18.

Just gaze on the glory that is the cover for a few.

Amazon already has a listing for the book, which explains that the tome is an “exclusive, fully authorised, first-person account by Ed of how he became an internationally renowned singer-songwriter.” The book recounts what has happened in Sheeran’s life thus far, right up to the recording of his new album, X.

Butah, who illustrated the book and much of Sheeran’s album art, is a childhood friend of Ed’s. And after taking a look at his work, we’re pretty stoked to see how he renders the various ups and downs of the singer’s experience. As for Ed’s cat Graham — we’re assuming he’ll make an appearance?
