He knows what it's like to suffer at the hands of Batman and Harvey Dent. But how will he fare against Ant-Man?
David Dastmalchian, who starred in a brief but memorable role in "The Dark Knight," is returning to the superhero scene once again, except on the other side of the aisle. Deadline reports that Dastmalchian has been hired to appear in "Ant-Man," the Marvel Studios movie about size-changing heroes Scott Lang and Hank Pym, played by Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, respectively.
Dastmalchian's role isn't known yet, which isn't a surprise, considering that A) the movie hasn't started shooting and B) the script is undergoing revisions following the departure of Edgar Wright and the arrival of Peyton Reed and and Adam McKay.
He's not a household name, but if you're a Batman fan, you certainly recognize Dastmalchain's face:
In "The Dark Knight," Dastmalchian played one of the Joker's many henchmen, apprehended by Harvey Dent moments after an assassination attempt directed at the Mayor of Gotham City. He managed to walk away from that encounter with his life still intact; will he be so lucky when squaring off with Marvel's smallest superhero?
"Ant-Man" hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
