Rosario Dawson Makes A Deal With 'Daredevil'

The actress joins the Netflix show as the female lead.

Marvel's "Daredevil" series for Netflix has just added more Hollywood star power.

The house of Iron Man and Captain America just announced that Rosario Dawson will join Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio in "Daredevil," which is set to premiere on the streaming service in 2015.

Dawson's character has yet to be revealed, but the release from Marvel describes her as "a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city."

It appears that Marvel is seeing some positive effects by only doing limited series for their Netflix shows. Casting talent like Dawnson and D'Onofrio may not have been possible with a traditional series model. Is this the start of the "True Detective" effect?

"Daredevil" is currently set to premiere on Netflix sometime next year.
