Tracy Morgan In ‘Fair’ Condition After Crash

'His personality is certainly starting to come back as well,' the comedian's rep says in a statement.

Tracy Morgan is on the mend after a car crash that left him in critical condition last weekend.

The comedian’s rep confirmed on Monday (June 16) that Morgan is now in fair condition.

“Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement,” his rep said in a statement to Variety. “His personality is certainly starting to come back as well.”

On June 7, Morgan’s limo was struck by a truck driven by 35-year-old Walmart driver Kevin Roper. The crash left four, including Morgan, injured and killed comedian Jimmy McNair. Police say Roper was dozing off at the wheel when he swerved into traffic.

Last week, Roper pleaded not guilty to a charge of vehicular homicide and charges of assault by auto. If convicted, Roper could face a five- to 10-year sentence for the death by auto charge and up to 18 months for each assault charge, according to the Associated Press.

Morgan’s assistant, Jeff Millea, is also now in fair condition.
