Selena Gomez Says 'I Will Always Love You' On Instagram: Here's Why

This video isn't exactly what you think.

In a grainy, black and white Instagram video posted late on Sunday (June 17), Selena Gomez is seen saying: "I will always love you. Whatever words I say, I will always love you."

What does it all mean?

Given the fact that her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, posted and deleted a steamy selfie of them together less than a week ago -- and when you take into account that this style of indirect communication via Instagram is not exactly new for the two -- you might fall into a Jelena-induced panic attack over the clip.

But you'd be wrong.

Let's look at the caption: "Poems with @steviemackey." According to his Instagram profile, Stevie Mackey is a professional vocal coach, which leads me to believe that the "Slow Down" singer recorded this video in the middle of a vocal exercise where she has to lie down. For voice reasons! Needless to say, I'm in way over my head.

Besides, the words she's repeating? Those are the lyrics to The Cure's gloomily beautiful '80s classic, "Lovesong." My momentarily goth ninth-grade self is very pleased to see that stanning for Robert Smith is alive and well in 2014.
