On Sunday, June 15 RapFix celebrated the 5th anniversary of J.Cole's breakout mixtape with an MTV Jams special, 'The Warm Up- 5 Years Later,' and the Roc Nation rapper added some extra sugar on top. In addition to sharing some sentimental words with fans in an open later on the anniversary, he also announced his new Dollar & A Dream tour dates, which will find him performing The Warm Up exclusively.

"5 years ago, we started a journey together. On June 15th, 2009 I released The Warm Up to a few who were waiting patiently for it," Cole wrote on his Dreamvillain site. "Full of my dreams, fears and predictions, it resonated with you right away. Over the next year I watched it grow legs and spread at an unbelievable pace all because you felt it so much. Five years later, I couldn’t be more proud of it’s impact. Thank you."

"...In 5 years I have come so far. I am grateful to be here today, alive and full of potential. But I am not satisfied. I still want more. I still have dreams, even bigger now than before. I will not settle or conform. I rededicate myself to greatness. I give my time and my passion to my craft, because I realize that the work I put in today affects the life that I live tomorrow. I believe in myself. And to all those that doubt me I say, “F--- that. I will be Greater. Watch me.”

The Dollar And A Dream tour kicks off July 3 in London, and hits Miami (July 17), Raleigh (July 19) and Chicago (July 21), before wrapping in LA on July 23.

During his RapFix special yesterday, J. Cole also broke down a few lyrics from The Warm Up. Check it out above.
