Big news: Kanye West's eagerly-anticipated next album will include a re-teaming with his Yeezus producer Rick Rubin.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe (which will be broadcast in four parts starting Monday), Rubin said he's "Looking at vocal ideas" for the album. While we know Q-Tip will also be working on the album with West, this is the first time we have definitive confirmation that Rubin will be returning for the next project.
West dropped hints about the track listing on his eighth studio album last December, and Evian Christ referenced creating an "Otis Redding-style beat" back in April of this year, but that's about all we know of the as-yet-untitled album, which West postponed his Yeezus tour to focus on.
Still no word on a release date, but Rubin's involvement has us all the more intrigued about the top-secret project.
