Kelly Clarkson and husband Brandon Blackstock are new parents, just in time for Father's Day.
On Saturday (June 14), Clarkson tweeted that her first child, River Rose Blackstock (a unisex name), was born on Thursday and that she and daddy Blackstock (who has two children from a previous relationship) are both overjoyed.
Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! :)
— Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) June 14, 2014Clarkson first announced her pregnancy back in November and revealed in January that she was having a girl. "Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!" she said at the time.
As she neared her due date, Clarkson was more than ready to be a new mom. Just over a week ago she tweeted her anticipation.
Okay my baby girl needs to come on out ASAP. Mama is tired, swollen and miserable hahaha!
