Watch Kelly Rowland’s ‘The Game’ Video, And Get Ready To Feel Lazy

Spike Lee-directed visual celebrates the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Warning to everyone who’s planning on watching the 2014 FIFA World Cup in your boxers and with a beer in hand: Kelly Rowland‘s “The Game” video may get you feeling inspired.

The track — which appears on Pepsi’s Beats of the Beautiful Game compilation album celebrating the competition — features the former Destiny’s Child member showing off her vocals as she makes every attempt to get us off the couch with lyrics like “What doesn’t kill you will make you strong/ Face to face with the eye of the tiger.”

And the video, directed by Spike Lee, is equally inspiring, as it follows a young boy as he chases his beloved soccer ball through the streets of his Brazil favela until he finds himself in a stadium. I’m not sure how far his house is from the stadium, but he must have logged some serious mileage in his quest.

While the official 2014 Fifa World Cup song is “We Are One (Ole Ola)” featuring Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez, several major artists have released tracks in celebration of the tournament, including Shakira.
