"There he is again. Almost two decades, and he still comes."
Repeatedly throughout the past twenty years, Harry Dunne has visited Lloyd Christmas in a mental institution. Lloyd, now in a wheelchair and sporting hair that would make Jim Carrey circa the 1999 MTV Movie Awards jealous, still reels from the trauma of losing the love of his life, Mary
Samsonite Swanson, so many years ago. There's nothing that Harry can do to shake his oldest friend from his deepest depression.
Unless … it's all a gag.
The "Dumb and Dumber To" trailer has landed with all of the force of a catheter ripped from your loins, bringing viewers their first look at Carrey as Lloyd and Jeff Daniels as Harry since the 1994 Farrelly Brothers comedy classic. Sadly, it's not our first time seeing Harry and Lloyd since then, but it's the first time we're seeing the true versions — and it looks like they haven't skipped a beat.
The new movie sees Harry and Lloyd reunited after years of living separate lives. When they return to each other's arms, they learn that Harry has a secret daughter he never knew about — a secret daughter that just might get Lloyd to forget about his Mary Swanson problems after all.
"Dumb and Dumber To" hits theaters on December 16.
