Dr. Dre Spent The Day At The Movies After His $3 Billion Beats Sale

He probably wasn't worried about the cost of admission.

If your company was bought for $3 billion, how would you spend the next day? Well, if you're anything like Dr. Dre -- whose Beats Music and Beats Electronics were purchased by Apple last month for that enormous sum -- you'd spend it at the movies.

"The day after it came out, that the Beats and Apple thing was happening, I think me and Dre watched 'Neighbors,' the movie with -- who was that? Seth Rogen and Zac Efron," Jon Connor told MTV News with a laugh. "We watched 'Neighbors.' It was cool. We was having fun. We just watched a movie after it happened. It was another day. He was extremely happy about it."

Connor, who signed to Dre's Aftermath label late last year and is currently at work on his major label debut, was naturally happy for the success of his boss.

"It couldn't have happened to a more deserving person," he said. "Him and Jimmy [Iovine], they done put in so much work. That's like thirty years. They deserve everything that come to them."
