Everyone has their habits, and for a long time, it would see that filming screen tests and audition tapes in his home's stairwell was one of Ansel Elgort's.

This was the case for his tape for "The Fault In Our Stars," the new movie hitting theaters this weekend featuring Elgort as Augustus Waters, a cancer-stricken teen in the process of falling in love with fellow cancer patient Hazel (Shailene Woodley).

Elgort told MTV News that he recently rewatched his audition tape, with himself and a friend playing Hazel, and that he didn't mind what he saw. (Obviously producers didn't mind either, as he ultimately got the part.)

"I was watching it and I was like, 'That was pretty good,'" he said.
