As much as we love them, superhero movies aren't exactly known for their originality, especially origin stories. The story beats that form the foundation for most of our heroes are classic, but also very easily parodied.
The folks over at Above Average demonstrated just how similar most superhero movies are with their one-take "Hero Movie," a short that's basically every comic book adaptation ever.
Over the course of four minutes, we see the story of Hero Man, the nerdy but good-at-heart everyman that encounters the Radioactive-Gamma-Serum-Dead-Parent-Machine and gets superpowers.
