A representative for the couple confirmed to US Weekly on Thursday (May 29) that the couple, who welcomed their first child last July, have decided to call it quits. The pair met back in 2004 on the set of the music video for Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends," and married in 2012.
News of the split came immediately on the heels of a social-media hiatus for both actors, with Bell deleting his Facebook page and Wood "taking a break" from her Twitter account, which has been quiet since Wednesday evening.
Both actors have been busy lately, with multiple projects in the works for each. Wood has three upcoming roles in the works and was last seen in the indie romantic comedy "Barefoot," where she starred alongside Scott Speedman. Bell is currently starring in the small-screen series "TURN," where he plays a turncoat spy in the Revolutionary War, and was recently announced in the role of Ben Grimm, a.k.a. The Thing, in the upcoming reboot of the "Fantastic Four" franchise.
The couple hadn't been seen together in public since late last year, when the two attended a gala at LACMA in honor of Martin Scorsese.
