If you've been to one of her shows, you know that Lady Gaga attracts fans of all shapes, sizes, ages and combinations. From the young fan with soooo many questions for mommy about why that funny lady is wearing seashells over her privates to well, the kindly octogenarian sweetheart now known as "Granny Gaga."
Mother Monster posted a pic on Tuesday (May 27) with arguably her oldest fan, writing: "86 yrs old Inez 'Granny Gaga' from Edmonton and I. We had a lovely chat after the show, what an inspiring lady! #artRave."
According to CBC News, retired teacher Inez Whitfield has been a Gaga fan for for several years -- ever since she caught a glimpse of the singer on "Oprah" during a hospital stay.
"I thought seeing her in person, hearing her, listening to her project her voice and hearing her songs – I thought she was just a bright light in a dark world," Whitfield said of her first Gaga show in 2010. When she heard about a local date for the artRave: The ARTPOP Ball Tour, Whitfield was the first person to call for the Edmonton show according to the Ticketmaster rep she spoke to.
With her special pass to leave the Norwood Continuing Care Centre -- where she's recovering from a recent emergency appendectomy -- Whitfield was psyched for Monday night's gig. In fact, she told the CBC that she loves everything about Gaga.
Well, almost everything. "I don't wear a meat dress," she clarified.
