Behind The Scenes Of The Biggest Swordfight In 'Game Of Thrones' History

Actor Pedro Pascal explains how to fight the third strongest man in the world.

By Shaunna Murphy, with reporting by Alex Zalben

In case those chopping people in half scenes from last week's (May 18) episode of "Game of Thrones" didn't terrify you enough, here are some fun facts about the actor who plays The Mountain, Hafþór Júlíus "Thor" Björnsson:

1. He is 6 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs over 400 pounds.

2. He is the strongest man in Iceland, and the third strongest man in the entire world.

This is the person that Pedro Pascal had to fight in the battle for Tyrion's life, but with some extensive martial arts and stunt training under his belt, we believe him when he says that it's going to be epic. HBO has been touting this as the best fight in "Game of Thrones" history for months -- and given Oberyn's decade-spanning vendetta against his competition, we tend to believe them -- so it's pretty imperative that you tune in on June 1 to "The Mountain and the Viper."

But don't take our word for it -- listen to the guy who was actually there.
