Normally it takes a threat to the planet to get the Avengers in the same room. But Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Nick Fury and most of the rest of the gang have activated their powers this week for a very special mission: to make a superfan's dream come true.
It all started when Sophie Caldecott started an online petition to get her dad, Stratford Caldecott, a copy of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," before its official August release on Blu-Ray and DVD. Stratford, 60, is a major Marvelhead who is facing advanced prostate cancer that has prevented him from seeing "Soldier" in the theater.
After fellow Marvel fans started posting pictures begging the Avengers to make it happen, the crew got involved and started posting their own pics.

On Friday, Sophie thanked all the stars, general public and the Marvel brass who helped raise awareness about her dad, and prostate cancer. "I will, of course, let you all know how the screening of 'The Winter Soldier' goes," she added. "You made it happen for dad to see it, after all!"
