It's no secret that the Shirtless Zac Efron Appreciation Society is a massive, international organization, of which we are president by divine mandate. The Vice President, obviously, is Rita Ora.
And now, it turns out that Seth Rogen is a member of our club, too! On the Tonight Show, Efron revealed that his "Neighbors" co-star tricked him into being constantly topless while the film was shooting — even more than his role as a shirt-eschewing frat boy actually required.
"I idolize Seth. This guy is like my hero, it's an honor to work with him. I would do anything at his command," Efron explained. "He would say, 'Zac, shirt off for this scene.' And I'd be like, 'Okay! Yes, sir!'
"Eventually, I realized that the cameras weren't even really pointed in my direction."
Zac earned a bleep from the censors (and a deer-in-headlights stare from Jimmy Fallon) when he summed up Rogen's motivations — "He was just f---ing with me!" — but let's be honest, there's clearly a more charitable interpretation to be had: Seth Rogen is a dedicated philanthropist, encouraging Zac Efron to be shirtless for the betterment of humanity, that we may all bask in the glow of his golden torso. Which was very kind of him, and we should probably send him a fruit basket.
The only sad part of this whole situation: only a fraction of said shirtlessness was captured on camera. But if anyone is jonesing for a glimpse of Zefron's pecs before "Neighbors" hits the big screen, don't worry, we've got you covered.
