They're tiny, they're plastic and they have the ghost-vanquishing expertise you need: They're LEGO Ghostbusters.
Yes, the classic flick "Ghostbusters," starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis as exterminators of the supernatural will be immortalized in plastic brick form this summer, to the delight of fans everywhere.
The idea for the Ghostbusters set, which will feature the Ecto-1 station wagon that the team piloted in the movies, was hatched by fan Brent Waller, who shared the first official pics of the licensed set on his Facebook page. The set will go on sale June 1, retailing for $49.99.
Waller posted more pictures of the set, compared alongside the set he created and submitted for the contest to design the set, on his Facebook page.
Now that we can play with min-fig personifications of the Ghostbusters gang, maybe the wait for "Ghostbusters 3," as well as the thought of a future franchise without Harold Ramis, won't be quite as painful.
You can get your hands on a LEGO Ghostbusters set of your very own in less than a month, on June 1.
