Pharrell needs a tissue. Can somebody please get this guy a tissue?
It seems like his uber-successful single "Happy" is making the producer weep.
While accepting the Innovator Award at the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday night, Skateboard P clasped his mouth before taking his trophy from friend Gwen Stefani, overwhelmed with the accolade and the cheers from the audience.
And don't think we didn't catch that tear, P.
Shaking his head in disbelief, he said "I never thought in a million years I'd be standing here as an artist."
"All I did was write the songs, and you guys did all the heavy lifting, all the hard work, all the millions of views on YouTube," he said.
It was because of his fans that he got emotional during an Oprah Winfrey interview. I'd tell him to get it together, but his tears are coming from such a pure, genuine, joyous place that I can't help but get emotional too.
After Oprah showed him a clip of how people all over the world recreated and danced to "Happy," he couldn't help but break down. "Why am I crying on Oprah?" he joked.
"It's overwhelming because I love what I do. I just appreciate the fact that like people have believed in me for so long that I could make it to this point to feel that."
