On Tuesday (April 29), NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced his decision to ban Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling from the league for life. The ruling came after tapes leaked over the weekend that revealed Sterling upset with his then-girlfriend for “associating with black people,” among other discriminatory remarks.
During Silver’s live press conference, plenty of rappers, actors, singers and athletes hopped on Twitter to respond to the news. The reaction had an overwhelmingly positive tilt, with Rick Ross calling Silver a “boss” (which, technically, he is) and Magic Johnson commending his “great leadership,” though some, including Killer Mike, were less kind.
What do you think of the ruling? Let us know in the comments.
Commissioner Silver a Boss. @nba
