Beyonce’s ‘Standing On The Sun’ Banishes Away The Darkness

The jam leaked -- joy into our souls.

Summer may seem like a distant, undulating mirage, but Beyonce is already “Standing On The Sun.”

That track leaked, finally and again, Tuesday (April 29) and after one listen I’m already feeling the burn — sunburn, that is. (My skin is very sensitive.)

Bey first gave us a taste of the track one year ago in an H&M commercial, before the jam leaked in full to the Web.

In the interim between the initial leak and now, we’ve seen the Queen drop her self-titled record — surprise! — sans “Standing On The Sun,” which cast a bit of a dark cloud over that initial joy.

Now, however, it has leaked again — replete with steel drums, heavy breathing and tons of sun-soaked, summer-recalling lyrics co-penned by Sia and Greg Kurstin.

Could we get the official version already, Bey? Our various and sundry listening devices are ready for the download.
