Lil Wayne and Mannie Fresh finally back together again? It's been 10 years since the New Orleans natives last worked together on a project (Weezy's 2004 album Tha Carter) but it looks like fans might be able to hear some new music from them soon.
Over the weekend producer Charles Pettaway tweeted a photo of himself in the studio with Wayne and Mannie Fresh, leaving us to wonder what exactly they recorded during that session. Wayne is currently prepping Tha Carter V, the final installation in his Carter series, so it would be fitting for Mannie Fresh to finish what he started by adding production to this latest LP.
On the other hand, there's also been much talk about a Big Tymers reunion. Fans were up in arms when Birdman revealed that Mannie Fresh, one of the original Big Tymers, would not be involved in the reunion, but since then the former collaborators have been patching up their relationship.
"I’ve been talking to Fresh a lot. We talk every other day, we been talking about doing music, so matter of fact we gonna get in," Birdman told MTV News last year. "Me and Fresh ain't got no problem, we never had no problem. It's been a minute and we plan on working again."
In February, Mannie Fresh told MTV News that he and Birdman were in the process of "negotiating," before recording any music, and it looks like they've gotten past the money talks.
