YOUR FAVORITE MTV SHOWS ARE ON PARAMOUNT+

Movie Awards Guide: What You Have To Watch Before The Show

Your day-by-day schedule of movie watching, until the MTV Movie Awards on April 13.

By the time this story is published, there's a little over 132 hours until the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. That's more than enough time to watch all of the 34 nominated movies; or it would be, if you didn't have to do silly things like "eat" and "sleep."

Because we want you to get plenty of rest and relaxation before Sunday, April 13 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, here's a rough schedule of what you have to watch before the MTV Movie Awards.

Day 1: Tuesday

What To Watch: "12 Years a Slave," "American Hustle, " "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," "The Wolf of Wall Street"

You're going to want to start off by watching the Movie of the Year nominees. Not just because it's the big award of the evening, but also because the five nominees have 32 nominations between them.

This will take over 12.6 hours, but luckily it'll get a good chunk of your business out of the way.

Day 2: Wednesday

What To Watch: "Dallas Buyers Club," "We're The Millers," "Thor: The Dark World," "This Is The End," "Anchorman: The Legend Continues"

Another 20 nominations knocked off your list today, as we're still going for bulk here. There's almost no way you'll be all caught up by Sunday, but darned if we aren't going to try.

You also have a nice mix of genres going on, with a critically acclaimed drama, three hilarious comedies and one of the biggest superhero movies ever. Finish out your day watching Will Poulter rap TLC's "Waterfalls" on repeat until you fall asleep.

Day 3: Thursday

What To Watch: "The Way, Way Back," "Fruitvale Station," "The Spectacular Now," "That Awkward Moment," "Spring Breakers"

Today you're capturing only another six nominations, but we've given you a deep dive look into the hottest young stars around. Three Breakthrough Star nominees anchor the day, and you can wrap things up by watching some former Disney stars go bad in "That Awkward Moment" and "Spring Breakers."

Day 4: Friday

What To Watch: "White House Down," "Man of Steel," "Iron Man 3," "Star Trek Into Darkness," "Fast & Furious 6"

Time to get your hero on. With the weekend fast approaching, how better to spend the day than by mainlining explosive blockbusters featuring our Trailblazer Award winner Channing Tatum, and some of the biggest superhero epics of the year. End it all by paying tribute to the departed but not forgotten Paul Walker with the most recent entry in the "Fast & Furious" series.

Day 5: Saturday

What To Watch: "Ride Along," "Identity Thief," "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa," "The Heat," "Don Jon"

To celebrate two days left until the Movie Awards, watch the best duo movies on our nominees list. You'll get a double helping of the hilarious Melissa McCarthy, and end the day with Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut. But the day isn't over yet...

Day 5.5: Saturday Night

What To Watch: "World War Z," "The Purge," "Mama," "Insidious: Chapter 2," "The Conjuring"

Spend the night huddled on your couch in fear as you run down all of the Best Scared-As-S**t nominees. You won't sleep all night, but then, you wouldn't sleep at all after watching even one of these, so why not keep the party going?

Day 6: Sunday

What To Watch: "The Counselor," "Captain Phillips," "Oz: The Great and Powerful," "Gravity"

With the MTV Movie Awards launching at 9 p.m. ET, you're going to want to take a light day and only watch four movies. Start with a bizarre legal thriller, segue into getting emotionally wrecked by Tom Hanks, then take a refreshing trip to Oz to watch Mila Kunis' villain-nominated performance before ending the day on one of the biggest movies of the year.

And you did it! You watched every single nominated movie. Now it's time to start all over again next year.
