Jamie Lynn Spears just got married — or should we say "hitched"?
The 22-year-old sister of Britney Spears and fiancé James Watson tied the knot on Friday night, E! News is reporting. She wore a Liancarlo gown in a ceremony in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Britney and boyfriend David Lucado, along with mother Lynne Spears, were in attendance.
The ceremony came almost exactly a year after the two were engaged. This is the first marriage for Jamie Lynn. She was previously engaged to Casey Aldridge, the father of her 4-year-old daughter Maddie Briann, but the two broke up in early 2010 before tying the knot.
When MTV News sat down with Jamie Lynn in December, she told us about how her romance with Watson inspired her new music, particularly the country love song "How Could I Want More." In fact, the track — which finds her wondering, "All he does is love me/ How could I want more?" — was inspired by their temporary breakup when she moved to Nashville to kickstart her country music career.
"It's a song that's very personal to me, I wrote it about my now fiancé," Jamie Lynn told us, after performing the track. "I had just moved to Nashville so I was really focusing on working and being a mom and a new town and a new home, so me and him broke up for a little bit so I could really focus on that, so this song was written in that vulnerable moment."
