Macklemore's 'Thrift Shop' Tops List Of Hottest Rap Songs 'Ever'

Metrics prove 'Thrift Shop' is the best-performing track on the Hot Rap Songs chart since 1989.

Macklemore and his producer Ryan Lewis are crushing hip-hop metrics, no matter how apologetic the Seattle rapper is about his big wins. After sweeping the rap categories at the Grammy awards this year, the duo can now boast that "Thrift Shop" is the best-performing rap song in the past 25 years.

That statistic comes from Billboard, as the publication celebrates the 25th anniversary of their Hot Rap Songs chart, by ranking the 100 best-performing tracks since they began keeping track in 1989.

Not only did "Thrift Shop" land at #1, but "Can't Hold Us" also made an appearance in the top five, landing at #4. Not too shabby for a debut album.

Coming in at #2 on the list was the 69 Boyz's "Tootsee Roll" and at #3 Missy Elliott feat. Nas, Eve & Q-Tip with "Hot Boyz." Kanye West's "All of the Lights" rounded out the bottom of the list, landing at 100.
