Diddy is one of hip-hop's biggest party animals, but things went wrong this weekend after two events he was involved with ended in gunfire.
It all appears to be a strange coincidence, but on Saturday, the Bad Boy CEO, along with Future and Fabolous, hosted a party in a Sheraton Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina, where two men were shot in the leg after a dispute in the V.I.P. section, the Charlotte Observer reported.
A video posted to YouTube captured fans and police scurrying about the hotel lobby after the shooting occurred. It was unclear if any of the victims or assailants had any connection to Diddy, or if the music mogul was in attendance at the time the shooting occurred at 2 a.m. on Sunday.
The next day, Combs celebrated Rick Ross' new album Mastermind at Atlanta's Velvet Room on Sunday. That party also ended in gunfire after two off-duty police officers shot the club's DJ at about 4 a.m. on Monday (March 3), according to The Atlanta-Constitution Journal. The AJC reported that the two officers responded to the scene after hearing gunshots in the back of the club. When the police arrived, the unidentified DJ fired shots and they returned fire, hitting him in the leg. The disc jock was arrested and then transported to the hospital.
This morning, Diddy posted an Instagram video of himself and Ross performing "War Ready" at the club, but there was no mention of violence on either of their respective social networks.
MTV News reached out to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the Dekalb County Sheriff's Office in Georgia and AG Entertainment, the promotion company who threw both parties, but have yet to receive a response.
