What do you get when you cross Paris Fashion Week with affordable Swedish retailer H&M? Only the most celeb-packed runway events of the year. Back across the pond, two stars of HBO's "Girls" are making waves — one with a rumored role in a major movie franchise, the other with her recent engagement. Here are Thursday's (February 27) top stories.
H&M Premieres At Paris Fashion Week
The Swedish retailer, with almost 3,000 stores in 48 countries, is best known for its quick turn-around trends and cheap prices. Not exactly what you would normally find at Paris Fashion Week. But on Wednesday, the brand packed a tent full of celebs and a walkway full of the world's biggest models to show off some sophisticated (yet, still, affordable) new looks. Jessica Alba, Solange, Ashley Olsen, Emma Roberts, Chloe Grace Moretz and more stars sat front row as as models showed off sheer dresses under chunky knits and big boots.
Adam Driver Cast In 'Star Wars: Episode VII'?
According to reports, the breakout star of HBO's "Girls" could be headed to a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Driver is in talks to play the villain in J.J. Abrams' continuation of George Lucas' major movie franchise. Details are foggy, but we've got high hopes. And we're sure Abrams will keep us guessing up until the flick's December 2015 release date. May the force be with you, Adam.
'Girls' Star Allison Williams Engaged
More exciting news from the cast of "Girls." Marnie has found her man. Williams and her longtime love, College Humor co-founder Ricky Van Veen, are tying the knot. The 25-year-old actress and the tech wiz met through mutual friends. Congrats to the happy couple!
Katy Perry Helps Deliver A Baby
Pop star, COVERGIRL and now... mid-wife? The "Dark Horse" singer took to Twitter on Wednesday to share some exciting news. "Finally you can add 'helps delivers babies in living rooms' to my resume!" No word on whose baby it was, but our money is on older sister Angela, who announced she was pregnant late last year. "It's been a miracle of a day..." Perry tweeted. The news comes on the heels of
break-up rumors surrounding her and boyfriend John Mayer.
