‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier': Take Flight With The Falcon’s Solo Poster

Anthony Mackie superhero character gets his own teaser.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will move the Marvel Cinematic Universe forward in ways we can’t yet predict. But one we can? The introduction of Anthony Mackie as fan-favorite superhero The Falcon. And now, Mackie has his own solo poster to go with the co-starring role.

The high-flying character is sporting a more military and tactical uniform than his comic book counter-part… Until you get a good look at his wings. Those aren’t feathered, sure; and we don’t expect that Falcon will have his comic book ability to talk to birds. But those are most definitively wings on the guy’s back, even if they’re made out of metal.

As usual, this is something Marvel does extremely well: mixing what works in the comics, and what works on screen to find a happy medium. And as we found out when we talked to Mackie, he’s happy to be in bed with Marvel for a good long time.

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” opens April 4.
