Need To Know: Taylor Swift Chops Locks, Dumb Starbucks Is Explained

Mariah Carey's new music video and Cam'ron's new cape line round out today's top stories.

What a day for firsts. Taylor Swift debuts a new hairdo, Mariah Carey premieres a new video and Cam'ron launches a new fashion line. Those, plus more info on Nathan Fielder's Dumb Starbucks phenomenon, are today's top stories.

Swift Says 'Short Hair, Don't Care'

Taylor shared a snap on Instagram of her and friend Ellie Goulding post-performance at the O2 Arena in London on Tuesday. In it, Swift debuted a new hairdo -- a short, bouncy bob. Is the "Red" singer shedding her sweet image in lieu of something a little more edgy? We doubt it. But we love a good makeover! Oh, and was that Harry Styles we saw backstage?

Dumb Starbucks Prankster Comes Clean

On Tuesday, comedian Nathan Fielder came clean as the founder of the parody store that opened in Los Angeles last weekend. Fielder appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to explain that everything was perfectly legal solely due to the addition of the word "dumb" before the brand name, and to chastise Starbucks for their disapproval of it. "If they continue to do that, they risk losing me as a customer," deadpanned Fielder.

Mariah Carey Will Premiere New Video Tonight

The original diva will debut the video for her new single on MTV tonight at 7:50 p.m. "You're Mine (Eternal)" promises to be exactly the kind of track the all you lovers will be bumping on Valentine's Day. Not a fan of Mariah? (Wait, really? Is that even possible?) Lea Michele dropped her second single yesterday that is, coincidentally, also called "You're Mine."

Cam'ron Debuts Cape Line At NYFW

New York Fashion Week wraps up on Thursday and what a whirlwind it's been. Music has continued to play a larger and larger part of the game - highlights of this season include AlunaGeorge performing at Rebecca Minkoff and rappers like Angel Haze and A$AP Illz walking the DKNY runway. Our favorite moment so far? Cam'ron, accompanied by longtime love Juju, debuting his new cape line when he closed out the Mark McNairy show. Killa!
