Pharrell Just Teamed Up With Another Pop Star

The hat connoisseur added another producing credit to his lengthy résumé.

Kylie Minogue is ready to make you dance this spring. The singer has confirmed that her album Kiss Me Once will be out on March 18.

The album was executive produced by Minogue as well as singer/songwriter Sia, who has previously penned songs for Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Beyoncé and big-time Sia fan, Ne-Yo. Sia wrote the album's title track.

Minogue also enlisted Grammy-winner, hat connoisseur and Oscar-nominee Pharrell, who wrote and produced a song called "I Was Gonna Cancel."

"Making this album was quite a journey but I loved it," Kylie said in a statement. "It was through a time in my life where there were a lot of changes and new beginnings. I'm thrilled with the response to 'Into The Blue,' and I can't wait for you hear the rest of the record!"

Kylie released the album's lead single, "Into the Blue," on Monday. The track is an uptempo anthem about not relying on anyone to find strength. It was written by Kelly Sheehan, Mike Del Rio and Jacob Kasher. Del Rio also produced the empowering anthem.

"When I got my back up against the wall/ Don't need no-one to rescue me/ 'Cause I ain't waiting up for no miracle/ Yeah tonight I'm running free/ Into the blue," she sings on the chorus.

This week, she also dropped a lyric video for the single, which includes glamor shots of the Australian pop star as the lyrics appear on the screen written in lipstick. Fans can pre-order the album on iTunes starting Tuesday (January 28).
